Start with the details

Compare the space you will use.

A townhouse can offer a different balance of indoor space, outdoor upkeep and location. Compare the actual layout and ownership arrangements, rather than assuming every townhouse works the same way.

Check the floor plan, storage, parking and ownership arrangements for each address.

Availability is confirmed by enquiry. No properties or prices are advertised on this page.

Ask what is shared, what you own and which ongoing costs or owners corporation arrangements apply.

Does every townhouse have an owners corporation?

No. The ownership and shared arrangements depend on the subdivision. Check the title and plan, and request any relevant owners corporation records, fees, insurance and rules. Your conveyancer can explain the boundaries of the lot and responsibility for shared driveways, gardens or structures.

What should I compare in a townhouse floor plan?

Look at the spaces you will use every day: stairs, bedroom separation, storage, natural light, private outdoor space and access from the car park. Check dimensions on the plan and inspect a completed home where possible. Furniture shown in a render may not be included.

How does buying off the plan differ from buying a completed home?

For a completed home, you can inspect the actual property. An off-the-plan purchase relies on contract documents, plans and specifications while the home is proposed or being built. Ask your legal adviser about completion and settlement conditions, permitted changes and your rights under that particular contract.

How can I ask about townhouses in my area?

Tell our team your preferred suburbs, bedrooms, parking needs and timeframe. We will use that brief to discuss current options. This page is a buying guide and does not advertise a specific townhouse as available.
